Aaliyah Haughton was famous in 1994 when she released her debut album Age Ain't nothing but a number. The album came out as Gold at the age of just 15 years old. This collaboration, heavily influenced R. Kelly's music and put her in the limelight. In 1996, she released her sophomore album One In A Million with Jermaine dupri and Timbaland. The album featured the top-selling track If Your Girl Only was aware. Aaliyah's second album, One in a Million was released in 1996. It featured the top song, a huge hit,"If You Girl Only Knew. In 2000 she starred in the action and romance movie Romeo Must Die alongside martial artists Jet-Li. Joel Silver, the film producer, saw her during an awards show and suggested the role. In 2002, she appeared part of the film vampire Queen of the Damned based on the Anne Rice book. The Matrix Sequels was her first appearance in The Matrix Sequels. Although her early career was dominated by minor films and television parts, she gained recognition in the latter half of 2000s. Other notable work includes Grey's Anatomy, Suits and Leverage. She's also appeared in major commercials featuring brands like Volvo which is an international automobile producer. She is currently working on her acting career with her home in Los Angeles, where she lives with her daughter and husband.
