Whitney Houston and Dana Bash

Whitney Elizabeth Houston was born into a musical family on August 9th, 1963 in Newark New Jersey the daughter of gospel star Cissy Houston (nee Emily Lee Drinkard) and John Russell Houston Jr. as well as a cousin of the singing sensation Dionne Warwick. Whitney's mother and her began to sing professionally together in the church of New Hope Baptist in Newark in the year Whitney was just 15 years old. They sang the backing vocals on Chaka Khan's track from 1978 Im Every Woman. She then went on to join the backing vocals of Jermaine, Lou Rawls, and her mother. In 1981, she began working as a singer with the New York-based funk group Material. It was her quality vocal performance with this group that caught the attention of record label such as Arista. The debut Whitney Houston album was released in 1985. It became one of the most successful album by a musician. On the album, she had several smash singles, like Saving the Day, All My Love for You How Are You Going to Know If You're a Good Person And The More Love of All. This helped her achieve seven US Number Ones consecutively. It was even better than the Beatles. The album debuted in 1987 and sold 25 million copies worldwide. Whitney was her first album. Whitney which came out in 1987 and featuring the popular tracks Where Do Broken Hearts go? and I Wanna Dance With Somebody, built upon her previous success. However it is The Bodyguard (1996) that made her one of the best-selling albums in pop music. The film, and her performance in it were not very popular, however the soundtrack as well as her version of Dolly Parton's I Will Always Love You were charting for months on the charts and she sold over 44 million singles and albums across the globe. That same year she married Bobby Brown who was a former New Edition singer. She was the sole daughter of Bobby and Bobbi Kristina Brown. They were married on March 23, 1993. At this point, her documented drug use started and in 1996, the singer was using drugs daily.

Dana Bash, also known by the name Dana Ruth Schwartz, is an American journalist and anchorwoman who is a correspondent for politics at CNN. Her programs on Saturdays include Evans & Novak Late Edition, Inside Politics and Inside Politics. Bash is the recipient of numerous awards and honors. Elle magazine once listed Bash on the Women in Washington Power List. She's known for her remarkable anchoring skills and her reporting abilities are highly regarded by younger journalists. In her personal life she is a graduate of George Washington University is a caring mother for her single son. She has been married twice but is not currently married.
