Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is a mercurial singer and composer who weds the soul of gospel and jazz with R&B with a distinctive mix. Sunshine has appeared on Broadway, during the Democratic National Convention and in European festivals and clubs. Sunshine was born Denise White. Although she is a resident of Atlanta at present, Sunshine comes originally from Chester Pennsylvania. In Chester Pennsylvania she first began her journey as a musician, singing and playing in the church in town. Following her graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she embarked on her journey of music in the Atlanta's R&B music scene. Since then, it has been remixed and a element of her repertoire. The Fighting Temptations was the other soundtrack she sang on. in 2005 Tyler Perry hired her as the principal keyboardist on the stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday (a Grammy and Tony Award winner) offered her an opportunity to be the choir conductor for Dreamgirls in Atlanta for the National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine came to national attention during four daily performances at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was then invited to sing at the inauguration of President Obama in 2009.
